Esther Fass (she/her) is a project director with Activating Change working with the National Sign Language Interpreting Project to enhance accessibility for victim services organizations. Esther was born and raised in Brooklyn New York to a Deaf Jewish family, she grew up living the fast-paced life of a New Yorker. Esther relocated to Washington, DC for postsecondary education, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Interpretation from Gallaudet University, subsequently with a Certifed Deaf Interpreter (CDI) certification and a Master's degree in Interpretation. In 2018, she relocated to Riverside, California from the DC area with her partner, Mark and 3 Deaf children: Zisela (10), Ayla (6), and Diklah, (3).
Esther does some community interpreting in a wide range of assignments, from postsecondary education to courtrooms as well as at national-level events. She also teaches ASL at local community colleges. Esther enjoys exploring new places locally with her family, going to the beach year-round and spending quality time with her family.
